Kora Flamenca. Winner of a Felix Prize for the Best World Music Album at ADISQ in 2020, this project was created by kora player Zal Sissokho and guitar player Caroline Planté. They invited percussionist Miguel Medina, oud player Mohamed Masmoudi, double-bassist Jean-Félix Mailloux and singer Marcos Marin to participate in this acoustic and intimist work that inspired Zal when he went to Seville and was seduced by the playing techniques of the Andalusian musicians. He thought it would be great to fuse mandingo with flamenca culture. A great show with marvelous performances.
